I have been told that I am a visionary and I am brave. I suppose giving up a perfectly decent job to start an unconventional non-profit with no money seems a bit irrational. Yet, my idea has turned out to be the most extraordinary learning journey I could have ever gifted my soul.
Twenty-five years ago, my family circumstance required I care for my children's hearing and learning needs. This led to my serving caregivers of children with hearing loss throughout the Commonwealth and in developing countries. I started three non-profits, engaged in 34 volunteer international missions, and supported hundreds of practitioners and parents. After twenty-years of service and insight I published a book called Coaching and Empowering Caregivers of Children with Hearing Loss, a non-fiction resource containing positive psychology practices and parent support interventions that enable caregivers and their greatest potential. My book offers distinct ways practitioners around the world can coach, empower, and foster the well-being of parental caregivers. The book is available on Amazon.
