Randy Susan Meyers
WAISTED Author
Boston, MA
Randy Susan Meyers' novels are informed by her work with families impacted by emotional and family violence. Her debut novel, The Murderer’s Daughters, was named one of the “2011 Ten Best Works of Fiction” by the Massachusetts Center for the Book and was a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award. Her recently released novel, Accidents of Marriage, was a Kirkus Top Ten Pick as well as the PEOPLE magazine “Pick of The Week”, writing, “The premise is familiar—a couple raising a family and accumulating grievances about marriage as they reach middle age. But this novel’s unsparing look at emotional abuse and its devastating consequences gives it gravity and bite, while a glimpse into a physically damaged mind both surprises and fascinates.” The Boston Globe called her second novel, The Comfort of Lies, “Sharp and biting, and sometimes wickedly funny when the author skewers Boston’s class and neighborhood dividing lines, but it has a lot of heart, too. ” Meyers teaches writing at GrubStreet Writer's Center. She is the mother of two grown daughters and lives in Boston with her husband.
