Calling Boston area home after living in Dubai, India, Oregon, Argentina, Singapore, and visiting several other places. I live in the Northshore area of Massachussetts with my husband and 2 kids. Other than writing, I enjoy baking, world cultures, art, movies, interesting conversations over drinks. My background is in teaching high school English and Journalism. I'm excited to get back into writing and freelance editing/book design. I have a M.S. in Publishing from Portland State University, Oregon. I love wearing the different hats of editor, designer, and writer. I write fiction and personal essays about third culture kid or expat life experiences, women's interest, food and cooking, cultural critique, psychological fiction, and stories set in global international big cities. Currently, I'm working on my first draft of my novel about the expat experience of being a third culture kid who grows up to discover a hidden family secret. The protagonist learns to fend for herself for the first time as she travels to London, Dubai, and her father's village in India to uncover truths. It's about family dysfunction and addiction in a different context that also explores attitudes about addiction in different parts of the world.
