I am very excited to be attending this event for the first time to promote my novel. Based on the true story of how Boston pathologist Dr. Sydney Farber developed chemotherapy, LIFESAVER explores how fear during the Cold War fueled government support for research so men could walk on the moon while the nascent pharmaceutical industry convinced political leaders that cancer cannot be cured.
I live in Abingdon, Virginia where I practice criminal defense law. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia School of Law.
